If you opt for the crank mechanism, the pneumatic springs are eliminated and the effort required lowering the bed and raising it again after a comfortable night’s sleep using the crank shaft is considerably less.

We recommend the crank mechanism for any vehicles with a third row of seats, as the lack of pneumatic springs will prevent any items from interfering with the head area of any passengers seated in the third row and will keep the entire vehicle interior free to use without any restrictions.
